Our beginners course is designed to give you an over view of archery and how to shoot safely.
On completion of the course you will be a novice Archer.
It takes place over four sessions (They do not have to be consecutive weeks but must be completed within 2 months). There is a fee to cover the cost of your training and rental of equipment. (Click here)

Breakdown of four sessions:
Session 1 - Introduction to Archery, bows, arrows, shooting form and safety

Session 2 - Learn about bow styles, arrow types and other archery equipment. Introduction to scoring and rules of the different competitions.

Session 3 - Shoot a number of 3D targets on a course to learn about course safety and etiquette. Develop skills for shooting in woodland and taking account of gradients.

Session 4 - Complete a 14 target course with a trainer. Trainer signs off on your shooting and safety practices and you then you receive a training certificate.
After completion of the training course, you can now use your equipment safely and hopefully have a love of archery. While you are not yet robin hood and will find you still have a few questions or maybe want a bit more information the club’s coaches are always on hand to assist with any problems you may have or to refresh anything covered in the training course.
